TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into how you think about it.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
